The 2020 Joule Donegal International Rally has been postponed. It has been confirmed by the Donegal Motor Club. The Motor Club made a statement in which it said the decision was made with “great regret” and has been announced due to public health concerns associated with the current coronavirus pandemic.
The rally event was it was planned to go ahead as planned from 19-21 June.
The news was greeted by fans on Facebook as the right decision to put the health and safety of the public and emergency crews first.
As the biggest rally event in Ireland, it has attracted high profile names in the past including:
- Sebastian Loeb
- Colin McRae
- Jimmy McRae
- Andreas Mikkelsen
- Ken Block
Donegal International Rally 2021
While no date has yet been released for the 2021 Donegal International Rally, it is believed that the rally will take place between 18- 20 June 2021.
